IQ .. linked to addiction to alcohol
Researchers from the Karolinska University demonstrated in a study published in March 2015 in the Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research, whenever it was low IQ when the man more than the proportion of his addiction to drink alcohol.
This study was based on a database of the armed forces, which covers 49 321 men who were born between 1949 and 1951.
All of them have been subjected to a test to measure IQ, known under the name IQ.
During the performance of their military service, also answered a questionnaire about their lifestyle, especially the consumption of alcohol and tobacco. The researchers took into account social and economic factors that may affect it, emotional instability, family history of dependence on addictive substances.
The results showed a link between low IQ and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages at the rate of men.
